The Samsung M540 Rant 2MP Camera Mobile Phone is a sleek mobile phone designed with a QWERTY keyboard. Though the mobile phone weighs about 130g, it measures about 14mm x 53mm x 18mm, making the size quite modest, even after the addition of the QWERTY keyboard. The keyboard slides smoothly in and out from the side of the phone and has 4 rows of rubber keys making it easy to operate. The M540 Rant has a 262k color TFT display, 3G data and a Sprint One Click standby screen user interface.

The Samsung M540 Rant Bluetooth Mobile Phone features easy to use text messaging and picture messaging. It also supports instant messaging and POP3 e-mail. For those with music interests, the M540 Rant has a microSD card of 256MB to store their favourite music and photos and it is also compatible with Sprint’s Music Store. The M540 Rant mobile phone has a decent talk time of about 5.6 hours and is compatible with stereo headphones, Bluetooth wireless headsets and also 2.5mm jack wired headsets.

The M540 Rant is capable of handling basic tasks and messaging with ease and the conventional alphanumeric keypad performs decently. It also has the speaker phone feature which promises a fair performance. Along with the One Click standby screen , the mobile phone also has a regular menu which is also easy to use.
