ng marked their Christmas release with the launch of Samsung Flight and Samsung Mythic Mobile Phones. Within these mobile phones, Samsung Flight is a full QWERTY slider phone with a touch screen display. It is a GSM quad band mobile phone with GPRS and EDGE data service. It also supports UMTS dual band network, and hence it has a 3G capability. With a dimension of 106mm X 56mm X 13mm and a weight of 0.17oz, Samsung Flight is quiet comfortable to carry with.
Samsung Flight GSM Quad Band Slider Phone features a TFT touch screen display of 240 X 320 pixels that supports 262K colours. This provides a quality view of images and pictures. It has a camera of 2 mega pixels resolution with digital zoom facility. This medium resolution of the camera could be a little disappointment, but it manages to offer fine pictures. There is a multimedia player integrated into it that supports various audio and video file formats. It can play back videos in MPEG4, WMV and H.263 formats. The music files it plays back include MP3, AAC, eAAC, RA, AMR and MIDI.
Furthermore, Samsung Flight comes with a 2000 names capacity phone book, which can store multiple numbers per contact. Picture ID, Ring ID and caller groups ID facility are also provided in it. Personal information management including alarm, calendar, calculator, to-do, world clock, converter and memo are facilitated in it. There is a bluetooth 2.0 connection, a microUSB connection and an internet connection enabled in this Samsung slider phone.
Being a messaging centric mobile phone, Samsung Flight offers an excellent SMS/MMS messaging facility with its QWERTY keyboard. It features an on-board memory of 80MB, which could be further expanded using a microSD memory card. The battery employed in it is 1000mAh that offers a life of 3 hours talk time and 360 hours stand-by time. With all these features Samsung 80MB Flight Mobile Phone is a fine launch that highlights messaging feature. The price too stands at the budget end of the market.
