“Ready. Set. Go.” Palm Pre Slider Mobile Phone, one of the hottest selling 2009 release in US is all set to be accustomed to the European market as well. Palm Pre is judged as one of the powerful competitor for Apple iPhone by most of the mobile enthusiasts. Palm is joining hands with Telefonica to launch the GSM version of Palm Pre in Europe by the last quarter of 2009. O2 has scored the deal with Palm for the release of this phone in UK.
WebOS operating system housed in this smart gizmo allows the users to do multi-tasking with a fresh interface. Managing a handful of applications is now a cake-walk for Palm Pre users. Thanks to WebOS!!! The Palm Pre UK is almost a carbon copy of US edition taking the technical specs into account; however the UK version is a GSM handset that supports 3G(UMTS), HSDPA and Wi-fi. It includes the usual goodies like Bluetooth 2.0, USB connectivity, etc.
The 3.1inch touchscreen display with a screen resolution of 320 x 480 pixel makes this a useful hand-held device especially for net-savvies. 3MP camera with flash is glued to this slider phone to capture the memorable moments of life. Although the camera is not so competent compared to the one in Apple iPhone 3GS, images are decent enough. Internal memory of this device is 8GB, out of which 7GB is usable for the customers. Unfortunately it is not expandable! QWERTY keyboard is included to make texting freaks happy.
Apple iPhone comes with wide range of applications compared to Palm Pre; however the sophisticated OS helps Palm to score over Apple. Palm and Telefonica has jointly revealed that Palm Pre 3.5G Mobile Phone will be available in European shops by coming Christmas. Since no words are disclosed about the pricing info, we guess it to be one of the most expensive gifts in Santa’s sack!!!
