LG A140

LG A140 is placed amongst the cheaper phones category and gives you a few reasons to think that the phone might be more than worth the price you would be paying for it.

Cheaper phones have a bulkier feel and the look does not please a whole lot of users as well, but that’s not the case with LG A140, it is designed to be slim and is just about 12mm thick which gives you a good feel to hold it in your palm with dimensions of 47x110mm.

With an attractive candy-bar look the phone weighs just under 75g which is a plus point when you keep it in your pockets. The colour combination is of Black case with white highlighted keys and a white outline to make it look classy within a plastic case.

The screen measures to 1.7” which has a low-resolution of 128 x 160 pixels. Below the screen you have the navigation or menu button to navigate around the menu items in the screen.

One plus point about the phone is that you have a VGA camera that allows you to take pictures as well as record videos, even though the standard is not high, it is a reasonable feature to have at this price.

You get an internal storage memory of 6 MB which is not really sufficient to store a lot of data.

One thing that you might find missing in the phone is the 3.5 mm audio jack, which means you will have to stick to the earphones that comes in the box. You get a built-in FM radio player to listen to songs played on local stations and also you have preloaded games like Dragon Fire, Halloween Fever and a digitalized version of the popular game Sudoku if ever you happen to get bored.

Get connected to the internet with GPRS and dedicated T-zone web portals to download games and apps. Talk time of the phone is a decent 4.5 hours and stand-by time of 216 hours.

Over all the phone is meant to serve your basic need of calling and receiving calls at a cheap price, if that’s the only thing you expect your phone to do.
