Nokia Contemplating On Laptop

Nokia, a well known market leader in the mobile phone segment is contemplating on entering a new pasture. The proposed venture became a subject matter of public discussion, when the CEO of the Finland based Nokia told the media about their intention to try their luck in Laptops. Prima facie, Nokia is best suited to emerge as a new player in the laptop market. They have both the infrastructure and expertise. They have strong shareholder base with sound financial support. Nokia’s marketing strategy and supply chains are acclaimed as the best even by their competitors in the market. They reign in supreme and unassailable in the contemporary competitive environment.

It is expected that the new Nokia Laptop will reach the markets by the end of this year with many innovative features like diamond shaped keys and touch screen interface. Some market sources predict that Nokia will launch HSDPA 3G modem for laptops shortly. The Company is confident that with the expertise that they have acquired in the past, it is not a formidable task to conquer the laptop market. The consumers are also looking forward for a superior product from the renowned manufacturer. It is quite natural that the consumers welcome new products in the competitive market, as it will help to enhance the quality and to reduce the prices. A laptop from Nokia can never be inferior in quality, but the price will be determined by the market forces.

In the midst of enthusiasm and great expectations of the consumers, there are sceptics who raise inconvenient questions. They point their fingers at the recent reports about the failures suffered by Nokia handsets. There are other concerns also. Whether predictions, speculations and forecasts of the sceptics will prove to be true is a matter for posterity to decide. But as on date Nokia is confident of their success in the new venture.
