Uncle Sam was about to take a nap, when Jake rushed into his room. “What happened my boy?”, Uncle Sam asked Jake. The frantic gestures of Jake conveyed a doubt on something. “Uncle, our Ella is going to get a gorgeous handset. She said it is the latest mobile phone and released just today.”
She said him about it a few days back. With a passionate sigh, he said Jake, “I knew it dear. She said me earlier. She is going to get a Nokia 6700 Slide. It has released today all over UK.” Jake seemed to be little puzzled at his answer. “How can you tell that? My Dad too has a Nokia 6700. He bought it long back.”
“Haha..That is different my boy, Nokia 6700 Classic. Never confuse it with new Slide version. Nokia 6700 Slide is a Symbian S60 smartphone, which is more capable than Classic by all means.” Jake was little angry to hear that. “How is it so?”, Jake muttered. “Actually 6700 Slide supports more applications and has a different form.”Uncle Sam said to relax Jake. “I know about my Dad’s phone. Just tell about this new Nokia.” Jake did not show much interest to hear a comparison.
“I’ll tell you. Jake, Can we have a coffee?”. “Nokia 6700 Slide is a slider phone with 2.2 inches display. Since it has a QVGA resolution, it exhibits a vivid view.” Uncle Sam started as he sipped the coffee. “QVGA?”, It was new to Jake. “That is its resolution, around 320 X 240 pixels. The HSDPA support is another asset in its data service.” Uncle Sam finished his coffee. “Does it support MMS messaging?” that is Jake’s favourite. “Obviously Jake. It supports. Free-email client with support for attachment is also there.” Uncle Sam was sure about its browsing facilities. He knew it employs Nokia web browser 7.1 with mini map. “What about the camera Uncle?”. Jake asked. “Similar to Classic version. This new handset too employs a 5MP camera with auto focus and LED. Video capturing is also possible.”
“You love hearing music right? Nokia 6700 Slide has a music player, same as in N-series.”, Jake knew it because his brother owns a N-series Nokia mobile phone. “You can select songs by artists, albums and genres. It can playback audio files in MP3, WMA and AAC file formats.” But uncle Sam forgot to tell Jake about the FM Radio employed in it.
“You said it supports many applications.” Jake reminded Uncle Sam. “Yes. It supports innumerable applications. Flicr, Facebook, Friendster, Myspace, Twitter. You tube and many more Jake.” Jake was a bit amazed as he knew Classic series do not employ all these many.
“All other normal phone functions including call management and personal management functions are also well featured in it. To support all these functions, Nokia 6700 Slide 5MP Camera Phone has BL-4C 860 mAh Li-ion battery. It offers fours hours GSM talk time and 300 hours stand by GSM time. Moreover, you can personalize the phone with your favourite songs, themes and graphics. It is not much costly as well.” Since it is the time for gardening, Uncle Sam was about to stop. He could hear Ella’s voice outside.
“Jake, are you coming with me tomorrow to get Nokia 6700 Slide phone?”, Ella came to call Jake to accompany her to the store. “Yes. I will come.” Jake replied. Even though he replied, little Jake did not want to tell Ella about his conversation on Nokia 6700 Slide with Uncle Sam. He waved his hands happily to Uncle Sam as he walked away.
