Ready for the launch in Europe, Latin America, North America and Asia, Motorola Blackflip is a quad band GSM mobile phone. Even though similar to Motorola Droid in looks, it opens like a book instead of sliding up. There are more uniqueness in design. The QWERTY keypad is located on the back once you open. The trackpad that offers a smooth navigation through menu is located at the back of the display. Its touch-screen display measures 3.1 inches in size and has a HVGA resolution.

Motorola Blackflip runs on Android 1.5 and is upgradable to Android 2.1. This smartphone employs Motoblur software, which we have seen earlier in Motorola Cliq. Other highlights of this mobile phone include a 5 mega pixels camera, 2GB on-board memory (expandable up to 32GB), a 3.5mm jack and a HTML browser.

Besides this new Blackflip smartphone, Motorola unwrapped two touch-screen mobile phones as well. Dubbed as Motorola XT800 and Motorola MT710, these are meant for the Chinese market. Motorola XT800 runs on Google Android 2.1 and comes with a 3.7 inches display. It is integrated with a 5 mega pixels camera, GPS, a music player, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a speaker phone. The phone, which has a 550MHz processor can house two SIM cards and has an expandable memory. It also has Wi-Fi and A2DP bluetooth.

The MT710 too runs on Android and has similar features as that of XT800. Motorola MT710 comes with a stylus and employs a 5 mega pixels camera, an accelerometer, bluetooth, a music player, a speakerphone and a microSD card slot.

With Blackflip, XT800 and MT710, Motorola continue to exhibit their leadership in communication at CES 2010 arena. To add more spices, Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha announced that Motorola Cliq that runs on Android 1.5 will be soon updated to Android 2.0. Also, Motorola Droid will get Flash 10.1 for the web browser.
