Motorola W7 Active Edition Mobile Phone

Motorola W7 Active Edition 3G Mobile Phone is one among the very few releases from Motorola, the giant mobile-makers this year. Mainly focusing on the Asian and Latin American market, this GSM device comes with a handy and compact design. The release date of this phone in in European market is not yet announced. The major highlight of this gadget is the built-in accelerometer, that allows the users to control the handset with tap, gestures and flicks.
W7 offers a good deal of luxury to the users with a media player that activates with two shakes of the phone and various gesture controlled applications. One need to flip the phone left or right to jump between the tracks; moreover the accelerometer is quite helpful even while gaming. It is more or less a simple and useful 3G gadget with copious amount of features. 2.2” display having a screen resolution of 240 x 320 pixel offers good picture quality to the users. This handset comes with a 2MP main camera and a video calling camera as well.
Micro expandable memory is another highlight of W7 mobile phone. Stereo bluetooth, FM radio, multimedia player, etc. are also incorporated in this smart unit. Although, this device lacks 3.5G support, it comes with three different WCDMA/UMTS variants to accommodate itself in the local market. The design of this gadget is cool, with two colour variants; Licorice which is a combination of black and silver and Alphine White which includes white, black and yellow. The music player incorporated in this phone can support multiple formats, and can work in bluetooth headsets(optional) thereby removing the messy wires!!!
With a compact design, Motorola W7 Active Edition Slider Mobile Phone measures about 99 x 49 x 15mm, and its weight comes around 105 grams. This JAVA phone comes with GPRS, EDGE and UMTS (3G) to provide faster access to internet and browsing. The manufacturers claim 3.5hours(3G)/8 hours(GSM) talktime and 12 days standby time for this hand-held device. It is expected to be launched in the second quarter of 2009.
