Motorola Milestone Android Smartphone

The next addition to the array of android smartphones is Motorola Milestone. But this mobile phone cannot be the said to be an altogether new entry to the mobile phone market. Rather this is a modified GSM version of the much talked about Motorola Droid Smartphone. It is also said to be the first Android 2.0 smartphone to be released in Europe.
New Motorola Milestone comes with a large 3.7 inches touch screen display with a quality resolution of 480 X 854 pixels. Unlike Droid Smartphone, the touch screen display of Milestone features multi-touch capability. Within a dimension of 116mm X 60mm X 13.7mm, Milestone incorporates a QWERTY keyboard. Even though it is could be the slimmest smartphone (as Motorola claims), the overall size of the phone could be comparably larger with this dimension.
This 3.7” Multi-touch Display Android Phone features a 5 mega pixels camera, which incorporates an auto focus facility, and a dual LED flash. It can capture 720 X 480 pixels video at a speed of 24fps. Other than the integration of GSM/UMTS device, another major difference between Droid and Milestone is the absence of new version Google Map in Milestone. Instead it comes with a trial version of Motorola’s Motonav application.
Motorola Milestone Android Quad-band GSM Smartphone employs 900/2100MHz UTMS support and 3.5G High speed downloads and uploads. Besides, GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity are also featured in it. Most of the audio and video formats could be played in this new smartphone and there is a 3.5mm audio socket that provides decent sound quality. The memory of this device is expandable up to 32GB using a microSD memory card, and an 8GB card is supplied with the package. The 1400mAh battery of it provides a life time of 6.5 hours of talk time and 14 days in stand by mode.
The CPU employed in this Motorola handset is 500MHz ARM Cortex A8 processor. This CPU is said to be equally powerful to the CPU employed in Apple iPhone 3GS. Another impressive feature in this new android phone is Milestone Multimedia Station. It is blend of docking station and charger with a Phone holder. This makes this mobile phone an in-car satellite navigation system too. To conclude, with its handsome features Motorola Milestone Android Smartphone bridges the gap between an iPhone and an android phone. It is said to be cheaper than Nokia N900.
