motorola barrage Motorola Barrage Mobile PhoneHere’s a mobile phone for all you tough guys – The Motorola Barrage. This is a submersible phone that is tougher than the toughest cowboy there is. Constructed from a combination of  rubber, glass, chrome and mesh, this mobile phone is resistant to shocks, vibrations, transit drop, altitude, blowing rain, solar radiation, humidity, dust, salt fog, high and low temperatures. It can be submerged in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes and sports a tough exterior. While brawn is not always accompanied by brain, Barrage could prove to be otherwise.

Exclusively available on Verizon, this 3G flip mobile phone features ‘Push to Talk’ feature, just incase you need to make a quick call when stuck in a sand storm! This tough guy is certified by Mil Spec for all the toughness it shows against nature’s elements. There is a 2MP camera and camcorder housed and dual speakers for clear audio that cuts through noise. The handset has VZ Navigator and supports V Cast Music with Rhapsody and V Cast video. The hinge of this flip phone appears to be sturdy enough to be handled by a toughie.

The Moto Barrage has a large 1170 mAH battery which supposedly gives an ‘extended’ takltime. The rugged gizmo also sports a personal organizer and speakerphone and supports text messaging. The handset does look hardy enough to match its strengths. This Moto is available for $129.99 after a mail-in rebate of $50 on a two year contract. If you prefer a non-camera version, then you might have to wait until October 21. So, tough guys, game for a Moto?
