orange hd voice technology uk Orange to Roll Out HD Voice Technology in UKOrange, one of the UK’s popular mobile service providers, will offer HD Voice service to the mobile phone customers in UK. This service will enable superior quality audio to the HD voice enabled mobile handsets. Orange claims this service to be the ‘first of its kind’.

HD Voice Technology employs a wider frequency band width, approximately from 50-7000Hz frequency instead of the current 300-3400Hz frequency. This will enhance the call quality on a large scale that the user will feel as if he speaks to a person next to him, rather than to one who is miles away. Sony Ericsson has already announced two new handsets, Elm and Hazel with this HD voice technology. These are expected to be in the market by the second quarter of 2010.

Tom Alexander, Head of Orange’s UK operation said that it will be impossible for the customers to deny this HD quality audio, once they have experienced it. However, no clue is available on which mobile phone will enjoy this service first. It is on trial now and hopefully, it ends the hassles of low audio quality soon.
