O2 appoints CIO for UK

O2 O2 appoints CIO for UKFormer IT chief of Vodafone joins operator as chief information officer.

O2 reported to UK CTO Derek McManus about its appointment of Phil Jordon, the former IT chief of Vodafone, in the new roles of chief information officer.

Jordon has established a strong background in IT leadership in telecoms as well as industries of financial and industrial gas. Proir joining O2, Jordon has worked for about 12 years, most recently in role of regional CIO for UK and Ireland. His earlier roles traversed IT and product development with both regional and international accountability.

At O2 in UK, Jordon holds end to end responsibility for IT and functions for IT transformation, as a part of the leadership team in Telefonica globally.
