HTC Hero, a google based android handset, will arrive with a free subscription to Spotify’s premium service on 3 Networks. The announcement came after Spotify signed an agreement with network operator Telia to access services on its mobile phones.
This deal, which is the first of its kind, enables the consumers who sign up a 24 months contract for 35£ per month, to access ad-free music on their computers through Spotify. They can also synchronize play list with their HTC Hero handset to listen to the music while on journey, even when there is no range available for signals. Users will also receive 750 minutes free calls to other phones, unlimited free calls to other three subscribers, free Skype to Skype call and unlimited data usage. This offer will be made available from November.
“The deal with Spotify would extend soon to other products including the 3′s broadband service.”, said Charlotte Blanchard, Director of products and services at 3. Now Spotify serves two million users in UK. With this new deal, HTC Hero Smartphone became the first android based mobile phone on 3 networks.
The HTC Hero Smartphone that runs multi-applications simultaneously features 5 mega pixels camera and touch screen. The users will have to pay 99£ for this handset.
