Games top the list for smartphone apps

Games top the list among app downloads by smart phone users. 93% of such users do not mind spending money on games. This was disclosed by Nelson on Wednesday.
SmartPhones customers use their phone more for playing games.

It has been found that on an average, Android customers, iPhone users and mobile gamers spend about 9.3 hours, 14.7 hours and 7.8 hours respectively every month for playing.

Weather, social networking, maps/navigation are the other apps which were downloaded last month.

According to comScore, the customer strength for Smartphones is 76.8 million, an increase of 11% from the beginning of the year. Smartphone users are about one third of all mobile phone users.

The report also says that 27% of the mobile phone users played games. 38.6 % mobile phone users downloaded apps to their phones.
