“12MP camera phone? Then what are digital cameras for?” Many eyebrows are raised with the Megapixel war going around in the mobile phone market! Samsung released Pixon-12, the first 12MP camera phone ever launched only to be followed by the much anticipated 12MP camera phone from Sony with a new label “Satio”. Now LG is expected to join the race with the release of “Louvre”. (Since Louvre is a nick name, it is expected to change just the way “Idou” became “Satio”!!!)
LG GC990 Louvre 12MP Camera Mobile Phone comes with an adept camera with heavy set of enhancement features. Schneider Kreuznach is one among the famous optics system across the globe! Yes.. you guessed it right.. Schneider Kreuznach lens is glued into the camera system of this new Louvre. Xenon flash, digital zoom, ISO of about 3200, touch focus, geo tagging, Intellizoom, HD video recording, etc. are some other novelties offered in this “Camera”phone! Zero shutter lag for a camera mobile phone is something too good to be true. Did I hear a warning shot for the compact digi-cams?
Louvre is one among the latest knockoffs of the Apple iPhone; however the level of sophistication of iPhone is of no match to Louvre! This gizmo is said to have a huge 3.2inch touch-screen along with the novel S-Class Touch UI. Accelerometer sensor lodged in this gadget helps to auto-rotate the screen when required. Wi-fi, GPS receiver with A-GPS support, multi-format video support including DivX and Xvid, Bluetooth connectivity, DLNA compliance, TV-out, etc. are other features incorporated in this phone.
Presently the photo-aficionados have to go for either Samsung i8910 Omnia HD (for HD video recording) or 12MP camera phones like Samsung Pixon 12 and Sony Ericsson Satio for “picture perfect” images. LG Louvre is a panacea for the customers who look for a high resolution camera phone with HD video recording. No word about the pricing details and availability of this flagship model is let out by the LG officials.
It is also reported that LG GC900 Louvre is a concept, and is yet to be realised as a phone! It is reported that LG has not yet decided to commercialise this phone. Did I hear a disappointed sigh from the other end?
Thanks : GSM Arena for the wonderful images.
