LG GX200 Dual-SIM Mobile Phone

Dual Sim mobile phones have always had a dedicated set of fans, for obvious reasons. This is one territory where competition is less, so a new dual sim mobile phone in the market is definitely a breath of fresh air. LG GX200 Dual-SIM Mobile Phone is a new entrant that seems to be pitched against Samsung’s C5212 DUOS that came out last year. The black candy-bar mobile phone looks pretty decent ( The central navigation button is one of my favourites! ) Apart from the dual sim functionality, this mobile phone does not have much to boast about.
The LG GX200 Mobile Phone sports a very basic 1.3MP camera with video recording that comes with LED flash and a 2” 176 x 220 pixel display, which again is, you guessed it, basic. The handset packs a WAP browser, though it’s very doubtful if anybody’ll ever use it for browsing. The powerful 1500 mAh battery is the highlight of the GX200, and according to LG, it can provide a talktime of 13.5 hours and a standby time of an unbelievable 70 days. The device is pretty lightweight at just 93 grams and has a thickness of just 13mm.
Apart from the powerful battery, the LG GX200 has a decent mix of multimedia features such as an efficient multimedia player that supports MP3, MPEG4, WAV, AAC and H.263 formats and FM radio. Bluetooth and USB connectivity are included along with social networking application RockeTalk. The internal memory included is just about 80MB, but you can expand it using microSD cards. The LG GX200 Dual-SIM is available in India for Rs 4799 which is £69, an unbelievably low price for a phone that’s as good as two. However, we do not have any information on a UK launch.

I got the LG GX200 about 3 weeks ago and it is great. I say great as I’m one of these people that just use the phone function to text and make calls. After all, that is the real purpose of this mobile phone. If your after a phone that takes good pictures, plays high quality music then stop being a tight arse and purhase a higher spec phone where these features are for that purpose. The two sims are great. I have my work sim and private sim in this phone. Beats having to carry two phones anymore. I have different ring tones and text tones for each sim, helps me decide if I feel like answering the call. Great build quality, great sound quality even on sperkerphone, small enough to fit in my pocket and looks great. What more could you want from a dual sim mobile phone. If your after an mp3 or camera then go buy that and stop complaining that your phone has poor specs!
