LG GM730 Windows Smartphone

Mobile World Congress witnessed the emergence of several new and innovative mobile phones. One among them being LG GM730 Windows Mobile Phone, which is the first handset to incorporate Windows Mobile 6.5 Operating System and also Internet Explorer 6.0. Added to this is the 3D S-class user interface that was initially announced in LG Arena. All these together makes this mobile phone a very functional and easy top use smartphone. This device is LG’s first mobile phone to run on Windows Mobile.

This mobile phone is designed with a slim and smooth profile with rounded edges and a large touchscreen. Its dimensions are (H) 109.8 x (W) 56.5 x (D) 11.9mm. The display is colour TFT that supports 262,144 colours. This Triband phone comes with microSD slot for memory expansion. The internet explorer 6.0 is incorporated to enhance the web experience. LG GM730 Touchscreen Mobile Phone’s user interface is much better than Samsung’s TouchWiz UI and just marginally behind iPhone’s user interface.

This LG GM730 Bluetooth Mobile Phone is equipped with a 5 megapixel auto focus camera with Schneider Kreuznach optics and a secondary video call camera. The other features include 3” WQVGA touchscreen, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi, FM radio, GPS and 528MHz CPU. This mobile phone also incorporates a new location based service called Gypsii, which is quite similar to Google latitude, that lets you know where your friends are and also enables you to geotag your pictures and videos. This LG mobile phone also has 3G with HSDPA support. After this partnership with Microsoft and Open Handset Alliance, the next move of LG might be an Android Phone. Lets wait and watch.
