With Mobile World Congress going on in Barcelona, the mobile phone industry is witnessing release of several new models that are supposed to cause ripples in the mobile communication industry. There seems to be a lot of contenders to the Apple’s iPhone, the latest entrant being LG Arena. Though the phone is officially called LG-KM900, it has been codenamed Arena.
LG Arena KM900 Multimedia Mobile Phone is a stunningly beautiful handset with a 3” touchscreen with 800 x 480 resolution. It also incorporates Dolby Mobile surround sound, which along with the large screen would give you a rich and unique experience of viewing movies on your Arena. It is the first phone that uses Dolby mobile. With its FM transmitter, you can enjoy non-stop music. It is a fully loaded multimedia phone that gives you a thrilling audio and video experience.
This mobile phone is equipped with 5 mega pixel camera that allows you to take remarkable quality images. These images can be shared easily on social networking sites. You can even capture video footage at DVD quality with its video recording function. It can capture 120 frames per second.
The highlight of this mobile phone is its 3D user interface. You can view applications and navigate all features in this mode. It has a cube that zooms in and out allowing you to see all its sides. According to the President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications, Dr. Skott Ahn the ‘3D S-class UI’ makes Arena truly special. Eliminating unnecessary menus and steps it makes navigating a pleasure. All this is made to save time and to make it easier for you to browse through the phone.
For connectivity LG Arena 3G Mobile Phone comes loaded with 3G, A-GPS and WiFi. It has an on board memory of 8GB that can be expanded up to 32GB using microSD cards. The other features are dolby stereo, MP3 player, DivX playback, TV out connection. It comes with a power packed battery that supports talk time of up to 30 hours and standby time of up to 300 hours. This Smartphone also supports Google Mobile Service – Google search, Google maps, Gmail Google blogs and Youtube. With its multi-touch capabilities, browsing the web is fun. This LG Arena has been released yesterday at the Mobile World Congress and time only can tell what its future is going to be.

LG Arena is an excellent phone. Screen is wonderful, very responsive to touch. The only problem is with the divx, since often it doesn’t work.
