Wireless Charger1 How to charge your mobile phone wirelessly

To charge a mobile phone or any such portable device we normally use a charger. Actually the battery charger that we use is plugged to the electrical mains socket for power source by wire. The charger pin is inserted into the phone (camera or any such device) to charge it, or actually its battery.
Due to product differentiation we have a variety of different chargers and charging pins designed for different brands and models of mobile phones or similar products. All these wires and pins become cumbersome if you have more devices. You can include other portable devices like iPods, MP3 players, digital cameras and GPS units. Or you might lose your charger and be stuck with a dying battery. But Wait! The practical alternative is to wireless charge your mobile phone or device. Here’s how.

About Technology Used
One technology or method adapted for charging a device without wires is by using a charging base which generates the energy from a power source. The energy is then transmitted to a receiving device which in turn is plugged to the phone/portable device. Another method is to have a charging base or a dock, where the phone or device can be just placed, and the charging begins.

Advantages

No exposed conductors.
Good for water impregnable devices.
Implanted (medical) devices can be charged.
No need to connect a power cable, but unit can be placed close to charge plate.

Disadvantages
Lower Efficiency and resistive heating.
Increased manufacturing cost and complexity.
Electromagnetic waves do interact with the environment as it propagates in free space.
