Nokia 5220 XpressMusic: Price: £99.80
The 5220 is a candybar mobile phone for music buffs. The handset looks sporty and comes in green and red colour schemes. Music lovers being the main targets, it is indeed good that this phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack and sports a good music phone capable of playing MP3, M4A, eAAC+, WMA and AAC formats. Memory is just a measly 30MB, but you can expand it using microSD cards. The camera is just an average one, but given the price and the above average support to music, the Nokia 5220 XpressMusic will be a good Christmas buy for yourself or your music living brother.

LG GW520: Price: £130
The LG GW520 is a touchscreen messaging phone with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. This keyboard sports spacious, responsive keys that make messaging comfortable and fun. The handset has a 3 megapixel camera with digital zoom, a music player along with an FM player. Though the memory available is just 40 MB, you can expand it to upto 8GB using microSD cards which means you can store almost 4000 tracks. The GW520 features ‘threaded messaging’ that lets you carry on conversations with ease and ‘LiveSquare visual alerts.’ Being a 3G device, this mobile phone has a high speed HSDPA 7.2 connection. This slider phone could make you wonder if it is too good to be true, really. Coming at such a good price, the LG GW520 could make for the best Christmas present, ever.

Samsung B3310 Mobile Phone: Price: £139
The Samsung B3310 Mobile Phone is a basic 2MP camera phone with a QWERTY keypad. It has a 2” 240 x 320 display with a row of number keys running along its body. The gizmo supports Bluetooth 2.1, GPRS and EDGE data. MP3 player, FM radio are present with a 40MB expandable memory. One can also access social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace, Picasa, Photobucket and Flickr using the B3310. Though not all that pretty to look at, Samsung B3310 Mobile Phone is handy.

Samsung Solid Extreme B2100 Mobile Phone: Price: £87
This here is for the tough guys! The Samsung Solid Extreme B2100 is a candybar mobile phone with a rubber housing. This tough guy can withstand a one metre drop, is water-proof and resistant to dust, salt fog, and extreme heat and cold. Camera housed is a basic 1.3MP one, so is the 1.77″ 128 x 160 pixel display. Web browsing might not be the B2100′s cup of tea and internal memory is just 10MB with the option of expanding it using the microSD slot found under the battery. Samsung Solid Extreme B2100 might not be the one for a feature-loving guy, but as a Christmas present to a mountain climbing dude, it would be just perfect.

Budget friendly handsets are aplenty in the market, this list could grow longer than the Christmas tree. So, watch this space.
