The world’s first 12MP camera phone with 3x optical zoom is here and it’s Samsung that has come out with this breakthrough. Under the gold-tinged spotlight of today in the Samsung SCH-W880 12MP Camera Mobile phone. Officially announced in Seoul, Korea, this mobile phone will be on sale in the Korean markets from early October.

The Samsung AMOLED 12M has Touch Auto-Focus tracking that is present in most digital cameras. This feature lets the camera automatically follow the target after you select the focus point. The camera of this mobile phone is unbelievable! It can change the scene and mode automatically depending on the target, background and lighting conditions. Apart from this high-end camera, the mobile phone apparently supports Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS and comes with a  microSD slot.

The Samsung SCH-W880 is technology redefined. Apart from the 3x optical zoom, the phone houses an advanced  3.3 inch AMOLED full touch screen with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution. The phone is more a digital camera with it’s ability to shoot high-quality images. Aspects like the Dedicated Camera Power Key and high quality video recording that offers 30 frames per second are astounding, is this a mobile phone or what?

Because you know that its typical of Nokia to come up with something funky now and then. Presently available exclusively on Verizon in the U.S for $99.99, the Twist deserves to be goggled at. The mobile phone is a perfect square, measuring 2.7 x 2.7 inches. The name Twist is probably because of the unique design that lets you twist and turn it in radical ways. The phone initially looks like a harmless little square; but when you twist it open it takes on a whole new role.

Having said that it’s a messaging phone, the 7705 supports threaded messaging that lets you converse with ease; supports to email, instant messaging, SMS and MMS is present too. The display of this mobile phone is nothing unusual- its a 2.4″ one with a 240 x 320 resolution. The customisable ‘Contact Light Ring’ is an interesting aspect. This jumbo button lights up in colours that you’ve assigned for a contact’s message or call.

The camera of the Twist is a pretty good 3.0 megapixel one with flash, autofocus and self-timer. For once you get to be in the group photos you take with your mobile phone – this is one of the advantages of a square-shaped design. Place the mobile at a good spot and run to join your friends for that rib-tickling shot in which everyone’s lost their balance! This is a stereo Bluetooth device and comes along with a decent music player and web browser. Staying in touch will not be a problem with this cute little square in hand, as it lets you blog with its ‘post to blogs’ feature. The Twist also supports VCAST Music with Rhapsody, Video on Demand along with V CAST video streaming. This mobile phone houses a 2.5mm headset jack and promises 4.5 hours of talktime along with a 13-day standby time. On a winding-up note, the Twist looks fresh and is backed by an average set of features. But then, how long can you keep twisting and turning your handset, eh? Wouldn’t you get bored and wish that the thing opened up a bit normally?

Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness is one of those phones that catch your attention the minute you set your eyes on them. The phone has a transparent display and is said to cost around £530. The phone is a basic one with no extra frills and is targeted at older users. According to Sony, this phone is all about “talk, text, time - a holiday from technology.” The Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness is set for a November launch.

Nokia Mural, also called the Nokia 6750 is a midrange clamshell mobile phone that will be available exclusively in the AT&T network in the US. It is a 3.5G phone with GPS, 2.2″ display, 2 MP camera, stereo Bluetooth and has a microSD slot for expandable memory. The phone looks pretty good and is to be available from this month in the US. No news about a UK launch, though.

Pixi looks stylish with a 2.6″ touchscreen display and a QWERTY keyboard. It has a 2MP camera and has GPS, though it lacks WiFi. Pixi lets you multitask with ease and has a 7GB of usable internal memory. It supports Apple iTunes and Facebook integration and you can change the boring black cover to something funky.

Entice W766 is clamshell mobile phone from Motorola and Verizon that is east to use and fun to explore. The phone has a fine music player and memory of up to 8GB through microSD cards. This mobile phone gives you access to most of the services from Verizon and is available in the US for about $39.99

Is it a successor for the best selling Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Mobile Phone??? Although, Nokia managed to keep most of the details under cover, here comes the leaked info…

This full touch screen model sports a large 3.5 inch display with a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels. Cool enough to enjoy the mobile cinema, isn’t it??? This XpressMusic Sib cannot be underestimated when it comes to music options and multimedia features. Let us hope for the best from Nokia, as the its elder bro showcased exceptional multimedia options. A 3.5 mm headphone socket in this mobile phone helps the users to enjoy music using their favourite headphones.

It is told that the camera is beefed up to 5MP compared to the 3.2MP snapper of Nokia 5800 Mobile Phone. No word is leaked about its optics and detailed camera features. It is estimated that 5900 will be a 3G device, as its predecessor sported that functionality. With the excellent RAM capability as that of Nokia N97 Mobile Phone, this gizmo is expected to be announced soon.
