Yummy Android CupCakes!

It was a pleasant evening , and we were heading to Scotland for a holiday. Mike suddenly stopped the car, and asked, “Amy, Shall we???”. He was pointing to a small coffee shop on the other side of the road. We both hurried in and settled inside the simple, yet elegant place. The aroma of steaming hot coffee and the very sight of delightful cakes triggered our appetite. I felt that the delicious chocolate cupcakes are beaming at me. It didn’t take much time for us to order espresso and a few cupcakes.

“I thought truffles were your favourite Amy.” I was gobbling the yummy cupcakes when he told this. It took a while to answer, as my mouth was full. “Mmm.. these cupcakes are just irresistible, why don’t you give a try?”

“Oh Amy, I have already found the sweetest cupcake.” I gave him a beaming smile, which turned into a loud laughter when he added that his sweetest cupcake is the updated version of Android Operating System. “Oh Mikey, you are not interested in anything except technology!!!”

“Amy, just have a peep into the cupcake updates, and you will fall in love with it.”
“Oh.. yeah? Then go on Mike.. Let me see if I fantasize a tall and handsome cuppycake boy!!!”

Ben started gallantly. “Amy, Android is one of the Operating system for latest mobile phones, and is much accepted due to its versatility. Android mobile phones are quite stable and extends the best features like extensive Google integration, street compass, and lots more to the users.”

“Hey Mike, the phone which you are intending to buy is an android?”
“Yup Amy, planning to get a smartie”
“Oh.. So you prefer cupcake to android?”
“Indeed a Cuppie!!! Cupcake is just released in UK my dear. For a technofreak like me, cupcake is the most seductive supermodel”

“So tell me Mike, What is cupcake and what makes it so delicious?”
“Well… Amy, cupcake comes with an enticing fresh look and an amazing set of features that makes it drop dead simple to use the mobile phone. It comes with the new local setting page that helps the user to pick various locales and text inputs easily. Moreover cupcake extends an option to view the third party applications and the running apps from the application list. A new popping effect gives the magical animation touch while closing or open the windows.”
“Hey Mike, I heard that the android OS is Linux based OS. Is there any software changes in cupcake?”
“That’s true Amy. It is Linux based OS. Cupcake uses a new kernel based on the Linux 2.6.27. Moreover enhancements are made in the APIs as well.”

“Oh.. I’ve read that the media player facilities in Android Phones are not brilliant like Apple iphone. Is there any improvement in the entertainment aspects?”
“Yes… The Cupcake includes Stereo Bluetooth support that helps to listen to the music via stereo bluetooth headset. Cupcake supports A2DP and AVRCP profiles. Android phones were not pairing up with the car kits efficiently. This problem is fixed in the cupcake version. Moreover this newbie is capable of storing the attachments from MMS. To spice up the user comfort, the developers have added input method framework for soft keyboards and different on-screen input methods. There is one happy news for third party developers; they can write their own input methods in Cupcake. Sounds cool, doesn’t it?”

“Yup.. Mike, how about the changes in the camera?”
“Amy, not much changes are done in the camera or gallery settings. Local file playback, various video recorder modes and video thumbnails are the changes in gallery.”
“Susanne told me that in cupcake the music playback fades out after suspending for a call. Is it so?”
“Yes. It is. Moreover a new media search is incorporated in cupcake. It allows third party apps to respond or launch to the media searches based on title, album or artist. The cupcake also features a “Show Dialpad”/”Hide Dialpad” item that helps in the easier recovery of DTMF dialpad.”

“Any changes in e-mail settings Mikey?”
“Oh… That is what I forgot to tell you honey.. cc is displayed in the message view itself in the cupcake. Moreover one gets new mail notifications for POP3 accounts. Copy/paste , find options, etc. are also enabled in the browser”
“Well Mike, cupcake is indeed appealing; we never realized that we are running late by a couple of hours”
“Oh.. Jesus, Amy.. We gotta rush.”
We bid goodbye to the cupcakes and resumed our journey.
