htc tattoo1 HTC Tattoo Android Phone to be launched by VodafoneHTC Tattoo, an Android phone that can be customised to suit the user’s needs is to be launched next month by Vodafone. Aptly named, the Tattoo can blend into the user’s skin. This HTC mobile phone is the first that can be ‘customised inside and out.’ Apart from the design and colour of the handset, the user can also choose his/her favourite applications to be displayed in the front screen.

Tattoo works on an Android 1.6 platform and has a 2.8” touch-sensitive screen with a 240×320 resolution. It has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity and comes with a 3.5 mm jack for your stereo headset. It has an internal memory of 512MB which can be expanded to 32GB using a microSD card. Camera housed is a 3.2 megapixel one with auto focus. The handset weighs 113 grams and HTC quotes a talk time of up to 390 minutes and standby of up to 340 hours for GSM.

Other features of the Tattoo in the limelight are Google Mail, Google Maps, Google Search and Android Market. All sounds nifty, but there is no information about pricing.
